DEWPOINT (Cloudlands)

‘Dewpoint’ exhibition at Inchmore Gallery, a converted church in Inverness-shire, in 2008 with poet Valerie Gillies and artist Carol Dunbar.

The exhibition comprised a series of a pair of large skyscapes; 12 ‘cloudland’ collaborations with Valerie, clouds portraits in photography and poetry; 12 black & white skyscapes ‘Cloud Atlas’; 12 photograms of seaweed; and 12 of Carol’s prints.

The show also had a table of cloud and seaweed related books.

val writing val handValerie wrote a poem for each cloud portrait, writing directly  on to the glass of the framed photograph.

The text, written in white ink, floats above the photograph casting its own faint shadow like clouds across a field.
