Art & Agriculture was the 2007 residency I undertook with the Pier Arts Centre and the Orkney Auction Mart. It was the reason I came to Orkney. Based at Orkney Auction Mart in Kirkwall, the project was a year-long arts project with the farming community of Orkney. The year spawned many projects and exhibitions, some of them are represented here.
The residency was funded through Scottish Arts Council pARTners, Leader+ and was part of Highland 2007. Special thanks to all at the Pier Arts Centre and all at the Mart. Project managed by Andrew Parkinson, Pier Arts Centre.
